Letter rate 30 øre 0-20 gram, plus 2x 230 øre airmail surcharge each 5 gr (5-10 gram), correct franking of 490 øre.

Letter sent from Holsted to Brørup 27. September 1944 franked with 10 øre underpaying the 20 øre rate. The postal service assumed that the letter contained money, then endorsed by “Formodes at indeholde Penge” and stamped “Brørup Postkontor” “27. SEP 1944”. As such, the letter were opened and proved to contain 13 kr. and fined with 20%, thus kr. 2,60 plus missing postage max. 20 øre due plus registration, 50 øre, total 3,10 kr. due by addressee.
