THOMAS 19/2 1902’ and receiving ‘PORT·OF·SPAIN TRINIDAD / MR 5 1902’. Adressed to Kapitän von sms ”VINETA”. UPU postcard rate 2¢ from 1.1.1902 – 1.4.1917.

2 CENTS stationery envelope from St. Thomas 31 October 1893 to Copenhagen, Denmark. 2 CENTS blue envelope watermark I with detached apple from arches (Engström E1A), buttom flap under side flaps, additional franked with 1 CENT bicolored VIII printing and 7 CENTS bicolored II printing tied by LAP1 'ST:THOMAS 31/10 1893', London transit mark and Copenhagen receiving mark 18/1 1893. Envelope with a few light stains.

5 BIT King Christian X single postal card (Engström PC17B) from Christiansted 26 January 1916 to St. Thomas. Cancelled with four ring cancel no dot when arriving at St. Thomas post office by the mail boat. On reverse origin mark large 'C' struck and datestamp 'ST. THOMAS 27/1 1916', large 'C' rarely found and this is a clean and clear strike.

Postcard originated Christiansted via St. Thomas to Copenhagen 5. September 1907. At St. Thomas cancelled with “C” Christiansted and St. Thomas mute 4-ring tying the stamp alongside St. Thomas CDS.

1 CENT 1901 double postal card from locally within St. Thomas 22 April 1902 and replied on message side St. Thomas 23 April 1902. Chess card sent among soldiers at the fortress at St. Thomas. Only 950 double cards 2nd printing issued with ‘1 CENT 1901’ overprint, very few unsevered provisional double cards recorded.

3 CENTS single postal card sent from St. Thomas 20 November 1895 to Berlin, Germany. 3 CENTS with 5 text lines (PC5B3a – FG5GII) with imprint type 3, NE-frame line broken near NE-feathers. Cancelled with cds ‘ST. THOMAS 20/11 1895’ and receiving cds ‘GROSS-LICHTEFELDE 2. KADETTEN-ANSTALT / 13/12.95 4-5N’ struck on front. On the back a wonderful drawing depicting Caribbean scenes made by the sailor Pfeiffer, a similar cards from the same sender exists in the Lauth collection. UPU postcard rate 3¢ until 31.12.1901.

3 cents red-orange stationery envelope with watermark III (1893-94) cancelled with four-ring without dot in St. Thomas and backstamped origin mark 'F' Frederiksted and 'ST. THOMAS 7/11 1895'. 'F' Frederiksted is a scarce postmark.

"Unsevered double card “1 CENT 1901” provisional issue 1st printing, frame Group 3C. Sent from Christiansted 9.1.1902 to St. Thomas, posted on ship, and cancelled on arrival in St. Thomas with “C” Christiansted and CDS “ST. THOMAS 9/1 1902” receiving mark. Reply sent from St. Thomas 3 April 1902 to Christiansted. Only 50 cards printed of the first printing with parenthesis around "ANTILLES DANOISES", this card is unsevered, extremely rare in used condition."

2¢ single postal card uprated with 1¢ bicolored VII printing, sent from St. Thomas 18. January 1893 via Le Havre to Hamburg. Cancelled “ST. THOMAS 18.1.1893”, “LE HAVRE / SEINE INF. / 1 FEVR 93” and receiving mark “HAMBURG 6 / 2/2 93” struck on front. 2¢ Engström type PC4A2, frame type 3F. [4,5-4,2], MS: frame line thick at two places. Imprint type 2: NW 2nd and 3rd petal joined. SE corner petal hooked. “PAQUEBOT” straight line mark struck most likely in Le Havre and also an unsual and an unusual “ST. THOMAS” mark, that I do not know the origin off.

5 BIT King Frederik VIII stationery card from Frederiksted 2 February 1910 to Mannheim, Germany. On back a photo tied with marching soldiers in Fredriksted. Photo’s affixed on cards are quite unusual. Engström PC13 – FG4E, nick in foot of E in BREVKORT.

Single postcard “1 CENT 1901” on 2¢ blue 5 lines, Frame Group 3F, sent from Christiansted 27 January 1902 to St. Croix. Genuine usage, rare on the provisional cards. 

Single postal card 10 BIT King Frederik VIII St. Thomas 28. December 1911 to Hof, Germany. Uprated with 5 BIT King Frederik VIII although not necessary with a Christmas Seal from 1911. There are only two Christmas seals from DWI on stationery cards recorded.

2¢ Stationery envelope from St. Thomas 2. July 1895 to St. Jan. Envelope with watermark I-C cancelled with in St. Thomas and receiving mark “ST. JAN 2/7 1895” DAKA Ant. 2. Underpaid with 1¢, thus taxed and struck “T” and charged 2¢ by addressee. Envelope with small crease at top left and slightly visible vertical fold.

Single postcard 2¢ blue 5 lines, Frame Group 3Ha, with blurred 1st “ENPOST” in 1st text line sent from St. Thomas 15 September 1896 to St. Kitts, with receiving mark on front. Sent at the 2¢ Caribbean favored rate within 300 nautical miles, a rare postal rate on postcards.

10 BIT King Frederik VIII Post Card without watermark sent from St. Thomas to Wilwaukee 16 October 1908 aboard the steamer endorsed “Pr. SS “Pareina” via New York”

3 cents stationery double wm III envelope with postage due 35 centimes from Christiansted to Otterup and red cryon 56 (øre) to be claimed by addressee. A very fine postage due item.

2 cents stationery envelope with watermark I sent to Christiania in Norway from St. Thomas 8. November 1888 with a merchant mark on the front. An unusual destination.
