10 øre Sweden reply-card sent from Reykjavik Iceland to Stockholm May 1900 via Troon with boxed “SHIP LETTER TROON” and transit ship mark “Sassnitz-Trelleborg” with Stockholm arrival mark on front. Very few early reply cards known from Iceland, this is apparently the only Swedish recorded earlier than 1900.

Field Post letter sent from Kolding to Flensburg 26 May 1864 and postmarked “K.PR.FELDPOST-RELAIS No. 9”. The Prussian troops occupied Jutland in the 1864-war and opened a Field Post office in Kolding where the postmark was used during the occupation. Letters with these postmarks are rarely seen.

From Tønder with list no. 5 to Copenhagen, and to Thorshavn a list no. 14 noted in pencil, paid and marked 2 Sch. C marked in red (6 RBS. Few letters from Schleswig this early has been sent to the Faroe Islands.

Postcard written onboard the inspection ship „ISLANDS FALK” stationed in the waters of Faroe Islands, dated Thorshavn 21 December 1916. Sent from Thorshavn in marine mail bag addressed to an Officer Vedel, on the cruiser „Heimdal”, care of Købmagergade’s post office. Forwarded to the marine station at Korsør, the homeport of Heimdal.

Letter from Helsingborg to Copenhagen via Helsingør 20 April 1866. On arrival in Helsingør the letter was stamped with the scarce boxed mark “Fra Sverrig” and Helsingør CDS on reverse 21.4.1866 and Copenhagen CDS same day. The postmark was ordered by the Helsingør Postoffice 3 June 1865 and apparently in use from 1 August 1865. Also the rate of 8 sk. charged was the special Øresund border rate.
