Vagn Jensen recorded from 3.3.1910 - 5.10.1916, this letter is postmarked August 1906.

Censor's mark 'Fra Udlandskontrollen / RETUR AFSENDEREN', re-sealing tape and censor's mark '468' and backstamped 'Retur i Henhold til / indlagt Meddelelse'. Message from Udlandspostkontrollen 'Det er ikke for Tiden tilladt at afsende Forretningsbreve hvorved Handler afsluttes. Portoen for denne Forsendelse vil blive refunderet ved Henvendelse til et Postkontor. (Kuverten bedes medbragt), message offer refund of postage bringing the envelope to the post office, very unusual.

Letters or applications handed in to the Local Customs office for the administration, had to be franked by the public for the letter appropriate weight scale, in order for the public not to enjoy free postage. This letter will therefore have weighed between 15 and 30 grams, 2x 4 sk. letter rate postage.

Colour proof of 4 sk. 1854 plate IV, pos. 1-2 / 11-12, block of four without gum and burelage IIb printed in blue colour and dotted spandrels. In the Postal Museum the printing plate has empty spandrels in the lower half sheet of 50 stamps. Plate IV has been used for the last 1854 printing IV delivered from 16 June 1859. It is not known why this plate has had the spandrels removed, but perhaps experiments were made for a new design without spandrels and trials for another burelage colour since the yellow one that were used were sometimes almost invisible.

Die in black of 4 sk. 1858 wavy-line, from the same as on the larger sheet with a print on the left side a die in negative with six different samples of a new wavy-line, both vertical and horizontal, although here cut away.

'112' - paying 2 sk. local letter rate plus 8 sk. registration fee. A most unusual and rare local registered letter.

Foot Post Letter from Copenhagen Early January 1820 to Paris, France. Paid to Hamburg manuscript 'pp p Hbg) - port payee to Hamburg , transit via Hamburg T.T. Post office. Letter first posted through Copenhagen Foot Post and stamped 1-ring “F.P.”. On reverse '12S' postage paid to the Foot Post to Hamburg. Total postage noted top right '38' to Paris and French due '12' decimes. Foot post ledger '14' top left corner. Any foot post letter to a foreign destinations are rare, this is an most unusual letter in respect of the foot post service in Copenhagen. DAKA 4A.

Charged 18 sk. for the rate to Randers and 1 sk. local delivery fee at Randers, total paid 19 sk. by addressee. Sent with the steamer Chr VIII on the Aarhus-Copenhagen mail route, 2nd weekly trip on Saturday's.

DAKA #3. According to Carstensen, only recorded use in 1831 of the 25 mm RANDERS postmark. With disinfection holes against cholera.

Royal Service K.D.S. ship-letter sent from Copenhagen 27 July 1855 to Itzehoe, showing a clear strike of the octagonal – FRA KJÖBENHAVN – a rare use on Royal Service letters. Furhtermore, the letter is sent by an official from Schleswig-Holstein-Lauenburg Wasserbau Directorat (wax seal). This is an interesting letter, showing that an official from Altona using the Royal Service in order to mail a letter during his stay in Copenhagen, a very rare use from an Official traveling in an official capacity.
