OAT letter from Reykjavik 22 March 1947 to Michigan, USA. 50 aur Cod-issue and 1 Kr. Geysir bluegreen cancelled with 'REYKJAVIK - 22.III.47 17'. Onward Air Transmission stamped with large oval 'O.A.T.'. All inclusive rate up to 5 gram 150 aur (group 7b, USA) correct franking.

Printed matter letter sent from Reykjavik to Copenhagen 11 Dec. 1939 bearing a 7 aur heering issue. This letter was sent with »Brúarfoss« or »Gullfoss« which anchored at Kirkwall as mailed was ceased and sent for censorship in Liverpool, where the letter received the boxed “RELEASED BY CENSOR”, stamped on front and reverse. The letter is illustrade in Hopballe book page 125.

Mixed franking with Icelandic 5 aur codfish (AFA 212) and US 3¢, tied by machine cancel “AMERICAN BASE FORCES / A.P.O. 810/ MAR25 / 1942”. Sent by Lt. F. A. Bryner, CO I -10th Inf. Mixed frankings are unsual, although the Iceland stamp were superfluous.

Registered OAT letter sent from Reykjavik to NY, New York 11 January 1943, bearing a total postage of 460 aur. Airmail surcharge to the US, New York, 2x180 aur = 360 aur, plus 60 aur letter rate up to 20 gram and 60 aur registration fee, 480 aur. Apparently underfranked by 20 aur. Small imperfections.
