Copenhagen Footpost parcel franked with 2 sk. bicolored IX printing pos. A7 cancelled with numeral '1' Copenhagen and datestamped oval Footpost mark 'FP 4 3/12 74' in black. A parcel accompanying the letter 'Hermed en Kasse KE K', inside the envelope a note 'Sent med Kaptain Tuesen, Korup Enke' and 'M. Thuesen, Nexö' on the flap. Up to 500 gram parcel letters could be shipped for the local footpost rate of only 2 sk, an extremely rare postal docuent from the Coopenhagen foot post service. A small beautiful envelope.

Stamps with some defects can be expected for this rare destination.

'frit' noted letter originally franked with 4 sk. bicolored Ib printing (1870) cancelled with numeral '89' Marstal and datestamp 'MARSTAL 24/2 1871'. Due to the 'frit' manuscript in lower left corner, the letter was subject to full unpaid rate of 6 sk. Thus, when bringing the letter to the counter af the post office, the clerk noted the franco marking, and sender was obliged to pay the missing 2 sk. - and then an additional stamp of 2 sk. lineperforation 12 1/2 1864-issue added. An extremely rare postal history item.

Registration mark 'DANMARK R 0603'. Correct 10 øre letter rate to Norway plus 16 øre registration fee, total 26 øre. A very decorative letter.
