Letter from Ivigtut 30 September 1939 to Copenhagen, Denmark. 15 øre King Christian X tied by CDS IVIGTUT 30-9-1939. From 1.12.1938 – 1.7.1940 the rate to Denmark for letters up to 50 gram were 15 øre. With the German invasion of Poland on 1 September, the British started take the Greenland ships into Kirkwall for censorship from late November 1939.
