2 CENTS stationery envelope from St. Thomas 31 October 1893 to Copenhagen, Denmark. 2 CENTS blue envelope watermark I with detached apple from arches (Engström E1A), buttom flap under side flaps, additional franked with 1 CENT bicolored VIII printing and 7 CENTS bicolored II printing tied by LAP1 'ST:THOMAS 31/10 1893', London transit mark and Copenhagen receiving mark 18/1 1893. Envelope with a few light stains.

5 BIT King Christian X single postal card (Engström PC17B) from Christiansted 26 January 1916 to St. Thomas. Cancelled with four ring cancel no dot when arriving at St. Thomas post office by the mail boat. On reverse origin mark large 'C' struck and datestamp 'ST. THOMAS 27/1 1916', large 'C' rarely found and this is a clean and clear strike.

Only 950 double cards 2nd printing issued with ‘1 CENT 1901’ overprint, very few unsevered provisional double cards recorded.

Cancelled with cds ‘ST. THOMAS 20/11 1895’ and receiving cds ‘GROSS-LICHTEFELDE 2. KADETTEN-ANSTALT / 13/12.95 4-5N’ struck on front. On the back a wonderful drawing depicting Caribbean scenes made by the sailor Pfeiffer, a similar cards from the same sender exists in the Lauth collection. UPU postcard rate 3¢ until 31.12.1901.

Sent from Christiansted 9.1.1902 to St. Thomas, posted on ship, and cancelled on arrival in St. Thomas with “C” Christiansted and CDS “ST. THOMAS 9/1 1902” receiving mark. Reply sent from St. Thomas 3 April 1902 to Christiansted. Only 50 cards printed of the first printing with parenthesis around "ANTILLES DANOISES", this card is unsevered, extremely rare in used condition."

THOMAS 18.1.1893”, “LE HAVRE / SEINE INF. / 1 FEVR 93” and receiving mark “HAMBURG 6 / 2/2 93” struck on front. 2¢ Engström type PC4A2, frame type 3F. [4,5-4,2], MS: frame line thick at two places. Imprint type 2: NW 2nd and 3rd petal joined. SE corner petal hooked. “PAQUEBOT” straight line mark struck most likely in Le Havre and also an unsual and an unusual “ST. THOMAS” mark, that I do not know the origin off.
