Envelope with pair 10 aur Oval type Icelandic issue sent locally within Copenhagen 30 November 1899. The pair 10 aur oval perforation 12¾ cancelled with cds ‘KJØBENHAVN KKB 30.11.99.3-4E’ framed framed with blue crayon and ‘O=’, charged double 4 øre Danish local rate, due 8 øre by addressee. The letter is sent by the company Thor. E. Tulinius company in Copenhagen, likely the letter was intended to be sent from Iceland, but did not happen, but sent from Copenhagen instead. A very unusual cover with ‘fraudulent’ use of the Icelandic stamps in Copenhagen.

Postal stationery Reykjavik 22 August 1894 to Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. 8 aur stationery card uprated with 3 aur IV printing pale brown orange (AFA 12) tied by “REYKJAVIK 22/8” CDS. 2 aur stamp did not exist and inevitably overpaid by 1 eyr to pay for the 10 aur UPU rate for postal stationery. Three postal stationery recorded to Brazil, one 10 aur stationery card, one 5 aur stationery + 5 aur, and this splendid card and another card to Surinam. No letters sent to South America has been recorded.

Franked with pairs of 5 aur 1896, 4 aur1900, 3 aur 1901 (large 3), 10 aur 1897 and 6 aur 1897. Transit mark Christiania 16 November 1901. Colour full letter and unusual combination with 5 colour franking with all the stamps in pairs !

10 øre Sweden reply-card sent from Reykjavik Iceland to Stockholm May 1900 via Troon with boxed “SHIP LETTER TROON” and transit ship mark “Sassnitz-Trelleborg” with Stockholm arrival mark on front. Very few early reply cards known from Iceland, this is apparently the only Swedish recorded earlier than 1900.
