Postcard, to Gendarm Rasmussen Nr. 59, Frederiksted. An already used 5 øre Danish King Frederik VIII adhesive, affixed and then cancelled with a purple rubber mark, partly ‘St. Cröix’, maybe a stamp from the ‘Kasernen’. Certainly not sent with the post, likely delivered soldier's themselves.

Within a 300 miles zone in the Caribbean area a favored rate of 25 BIT were in use from 15.7.1905 – 31.12.1909, a quite scarce DVI letter rate.
