Set of unique essays of “The Returned Letter Stamps of 1935”, likely produced in 1934 or 1935 as replacements for the 1930 Issue, which was thought to be too small and difficuelt to read. Printed on Pelure glassine paper.

SCADTA letter sent from Copenhagen to Bucaramanga in Columbia 2 August 1927, bearing 30c SCADTA Denmark overprint “D” and a single 4 Centavos on large letter that has been cut down at left. Unusual single mixed franking.

Money Letter from lottery agent Ulrikke Augusta Schytt in Ribe sent to lottery agent Bie 1801-1808, Copenhagen. Contained - NB Heruid 141 Rd: 181ßD: - closed with four red wax seals – RIBE C7 – and collectors own wax seal. Without postal notations.

Wrapper sheet sent from Uxbridge August 1941 to the Ivigtut Kryolit-mine, Greenland, via the Greenland Delegation, NY. Sent to a seaman Arne Jørgensen onboard LERCHENBORG. Franked with 1/2d green. The wrapper contained three copies of the magazine FRIT DANMARK, Danish Counsil, the Danish excile government in UK. A rare postal document.

"Parcel letter front from Musse letter collecting place "Fra Musse Brevsaml." to Copenhagen Jan 20, 1871-72 for four parcels weighing 36 , 38 , 37 1/2 , 39 a total of 150 , with Saxkiøbing labels 25-28. Postage paid cash, a total of 90 skilling on the cover with 48 sk, pair of 16 sk., 2 and 8 sk. Arms type - not complete franking. Fresh shade for the 48 sk. stamp. Musse collecting place from 1.10.1867-22.8.1872. A scarce parcel item."

Insufficiently franked 10 øre Postcard sent from Trondhjem via Leith to Reykjavik. Charged 20 øre due, for which amount a Two Kings 20 aur (1907) stamp were affixed in Reykjavik and tied by “Reykjavik 11.11.09” CDS. Iceland did not have any postage due stamps and instead ordinary stamps were used instead, and these usages are quite scarce.

Letter sent from Reykjavik to Akureyri 5 June 1926 bearing two 20 aur National Library building tied by the ship ESJA CDS “REYKJAVIK SKIP Nr. I”, correct 40 aur postage 2nd letter rate up to 125 gram.

Letter sent from Plön to Sandel near Jever 19 August 1866, bearing a 1 1/4 Sch. Herzogth. Holsten tied by CDS “Plön” Danish type. The letter has been found in the mail box “Aus dem Briefkasten, Rosenkranz”, and charged by the addressee in the Duchy of Oldenburg.

Letter from Stóra-Giljá with numeral 275 on letter to Stagafirdi franked with 400 aur. Between 1.1.1963 – 30.9.1963 the rate were 400 aur.

SOLDIERS letter sent from Gammelgaard near Broager to Bockum 31 July 1864 and postmarked “K.PR.FELDPOST-VII. Armee Corps” alongside a beautiful troop mark stamp “COMMANDO DER XII.ten DIVISION”.

Royal Service Letter “K.D.S.” letter sent from Gross Brebel to Husum and paid to Schleswig 14 September 1829 and delivery fee of 2 Sch. C. paid by the addressee. It was not until 1855 that a small collecting office was opened in Gross-Brebel, located South East of Kappeln.

Piece from package, sent from FPO 304 and franked with 2d and 2 1/2d and sent to England, and censor 1216 stamped on front.

Postcard sent from Reykjavik 2. May 1911 to Rosario de Santa Fé, Argentina. On picture side bearing a pair 3 aur and a 4 aur King Christian IX tied by “Reykjavik 2.V.11” CDS, transit mark “LONGHOPE – ORKNEY MY 8 11” on address side.

Letter sheet from Itzehoe 3 March 1822 to Uslar near Göttingen, Germany. Boxed – ITZEHOE Marts 3 – struck on front. Instruction to the post: cito cito, for express service.

Letter St. Thomas 5 April 1900 to Sydney, Australia. Sent to a 2nd mate at ship „Mount Stewart”. As ship must have left, the letter has been forwarded around the world with lots of postmarks on reverse. Officially opened and returned via Denmark back to St. Thomas where it arrived back on 27 May 1901, travelling more than a year around the world for only 10¢. Extremely rare finding such a cover from Danish West Indies, stamp however with faults but having traveled for a year this is unavoidable.

8 cents letter from St. Thomas to Copenhagen August 14, 1903 with French mail service tied by St. Thomas cds. Via Le Havre September 4 cds on front and franked with a pair of 4 cents bicoloured IV printing to make up the 8 cents UPU rate to Denmark 8 cents from 01.01.1902 to 14.07.1905. A very fine letter.

Air mail letter sent from Greenland to Denmark 26 October 1940 via USA-Lissabon, German censorship Frankfurt (Hopballe label 34.03), bearing a block of 10 of 1 øre stamps, 5 øre and 1 kr. Polar Bear, overpaying the letter with 10 øre.

10 aur postal card sent from Isafjördur to Copenhagen 13 August 1908. On the back of the card there is a topographic photo attached and for which reason the card most likely should have been charged as a letter.

5 aur King Chr. IX BRJEFSPJALD, Schilling #16 sent from Reykjavik to Brünlos, Sachsen. Add. franked with 5 aur green King Chr. IX paying for 10 aur foreign post card rate. Sent via UK, and stamped with boxed “SHIP LETTER - TROON” alongside “TROON JY 17, 05”.
