20 aur National Museum postcard (79-Kl., printed 5.200) bearing five 7 aur “Views- and buildings” intended to be transported on the FIRST FLIGHT from Isafjördur to Reykjavik the 5th of June, 1928. Rate 15 aur single postcard, registration 30 aur and 10 aur airmail charge, total 55 aura correct franking. The planned return flight to Reykjavik 5th June was delayed due to bad weather. When finally weather permitted, the air plane “Junkers F. 13” named “Sulan” made an emergency landing 20 km from Reykjavik and had to be towed after a fishing boat to Reykjavik, where it arrived the 7th with CDS Reykjavik on reverse.
