Unpaid parcel letter sent from Wandsbeck 25 May 1864 to Neuenkirchner Wiseh near Wilster with RED WANDSBECK CDS, and then returned to Wandsbeck with Crempe transit mark. Danish postmarks used when Schleswig-Holstein were occupied by the Prussian and Austrian forces.

Unpaid letter sent from Heiligenhafen to Burg Fehmern 17 January 1853, stamped with 1-line mark “Heiligenhafen” + ink. 17/1 and “2” Sch. C due in red crayon. Heiligenhafen 1-line mark only recorded used from 16.11.52 till 21.1.1853 a little more than only two months. Scarce. Heiligenhafen is located north of Oldenburg and south of the Fehmarnsund Brücke in Holstein.

Field Post letter sent from Apenrade to Berlin 30 November 1864 and postmarked “K.PR.FELDPOST-RELAIS No. 6”. The Prussian troops occupied Jutland in the 1864-war and opened a Field Post office in Apenrade where the postmark was used during and after the occupation. Letters with these postmarks are rarely seen.

Letter sent from Copenhagen to Friedrichstadt in Slesvig 24 October 1864, franked with 4 sk. 1864 tied by numeral “1” alongside København CDS. The letter was during the 1864-war after Slesvig was occupied by Prussian troops and in this period there were no postal arrangement between Denmark and Slesvig. In this case, the letter is not charged 1 1/4 Sch. C by the addressee.
