Field Post letter sent from Apenrade to Berlin 30 November 1864 and postmarked “K.PR.FELDPOST-RELAIS No. 6”. The Prussian troops occupied Jutland in the 1864-war and opened a Field Post office in Apenrade where the postmark was used during and after the occupation. Letters with these postmarks are rarely seen.

The letter was during the 1864-war after Slesvig was occupied by Prussian troops and in this period there were no postal arrangement between Denmark and Slesvig. In this case, the letter is not charged 1 1/4 Sch. C by the addressee.
