”Nestved – 15. Mai 1852.” 2-line cancel on front of 6 sk. prepaid letter to Copenhagen. Extremely fine example of a popular postmark. Rare in this quality.

Letter sent from Randers to Copenhagen 18 May 1864 bearing a 4 sk. rouletted 1863 tied by numeral “53” alongside CDS “Randers 18.5 7-9 EF”. The first armistice was in place on 12th May until 25th June and in this period the letter was sent.

Rural letter sent from Taanum to Bjerregrav near Randers the 30 June 1885 bearing a 4 øre bicolored 34th printing tied by two-ring private rural cancel “TAANUN BREVSEMLINGSSTED 30/6” and “S T” initials added to the stamp, but not on the departing postmark dated 1/7 on reverse. A most striking a fascinating example of the Danish private rural postmarks.

Letter sent from Aalborg to Gothenburg via Copenhagen 9 May 1855. Manuscript “f. Aalborg” and “pr. Iris” steamer from Aalborg to Copenhagen, there dropped in letter box and stamped with the Compass stamp.

Partly paid letter sent from Kolding to Frederikshald 14 September 1863 via Sandøsund 17 September. Danish postage 20 sk, consisting of 2 Lsk. Danish share, Seapostage 2 Lsk. and Norwegian share 2 Lsk. However partly franking not allowed, therefore full postage claimed, 12 sk. specie plus 1 sk. delivery fee, total 13 sk. specie due by the addressee.

Letter sent from Oksbøl to Geneve 3 October 1945, bearing one 40 øre Chr. X steel engraving issue, tied by CDS “OKSBØL” swiss type mark. Sent from the refugee camp “Oksbøl” and stamped on reverse with oval mark in blue “St. C. L./LEJRCHEFEN/I OXBØL” alongside line mark “Censureret” and censors signature.

Freight Bill for two empty “wagons” bearing a 3-strip of 1 Kr. King Chr. X tied by two-ring mark “AGGERSUND FÆRGERI”. Scarcely seen, as mixed franking are the most commonly seen.

Airmail letter sent from Copenhagen to St. Louis 3 July 1945 bearing correct postage of 125 øre, foreign rate 40 øre plus 85 øre airmail surcharge. Stamped 2-line “par avion - jusqu' à N. York.” - Rarely seen routing mark on letters. Danish and US censorship.

Entire unpaid letter sent from Charleroi in Belgium to Altona 17. October 1855. Belgium share endorsed “2” decimes, T&T “7” Sgr. = 22 sk. danish + 5 sk. Danish rayon 1, total 27 sk. due.

Letter sent from Holsted to Brørup 27. September 1944 franked with 10 øre underpaying the 20 øre rate. The postal service assumed that the letter contained money, then endorsed by “Formodes at indeholde Penge” and stamped “Brørup Postkontor” “27. SEP 1944”. As such, the letter were opened and proved to contain 13 kr. and fined with 20%, thus kr. 2,60 plus missing postage max. 20 øre due plus registration, 50 øre, total 3,10 kr. due by addressee.

Letter sent from Fredericia to a soldier with the German forces at Field post number 27745 10 September 1942. Franked with 20 øre paying domestic rate, forwarded and returned and applied with return marks. Unusual letter.

Copenhagen foot-post cover franked with single Thiele 2 Rigsbankskilling type 5, plate I pos. 75. Fine margins and nicely tied by numral 1. Also blue, oval F P mark 26.11.1855. A most unusual and a most harmonious cover.

Royal Service (K.T.m.a.) letter sent from Thisted to Viborg 3 March 1858. Stamped on front with 1-line mark “Thisted” and manuscript date “3/3 58”. Rarely seen.

Piece with 3x 16 sk. rouletted issue, 8 sk. 1857 and 4 sk. 1864 tied by numeral 1. Fine stamps on attractive exhibition piece.

Brev-Kort sent from Haslev to Aversi 25.7.1891 bearing a 3 øre bicolored IX printing, tied by CDS Lap VIa-2 “HASLEV 25.7.1891” in violet. Only recorded LAP VIa-2 Haslev on letter.

Royal Service letter sheet sent from Nexøe to Rønne on 5 March 1850, with town manuscript “Nexøe 5/3 50”. Scarce Bornholm postal pre-stamp marking.

Registered letter sent from Osterterp near Apenrade to Slagelse 21 February 1920, bearing a 3-strip 20 pf blue tied by Apenrade CDS, alongside Registration label “Osterterp No. 72” and on top stamped “Apenrade” 1-line mark. Censor label on back tied by the large 45 mm commission stamp “COMMISSION - INTERNATIONALE - SLESVIG” and Slagelse arriving CDS on reverse.
