Postcard St. Thomas 8 December 1903 to Aarhus, Denmark. 2¢ postcard Coat-of-Arms issue, Engström PC10A cancelled at St. Thomas. Interesting information about the 2/3 and 8/10 provisionals, and the 8¢ Coat-of-Arms issue that are not yet being sold to the public at St. Thomas since there is still a stock of the 10¢ provisionals. But, that he might be able to get them from St. Croix !

Unpaid letter sent from St. Thomas to Jersey City 27 October 1892 stamped with a “St. Thomas” CDS and circle “T”, on arrival in NY stamped “New York 10 Cents due” double-circle due mark and bearing a 10C US postage due stamp tied by Jersey City CDS. Very rare with US postage due stamps on DWI letters.

Entire sent from St. Thomas to New York 2 April 1864, charged 4 cents stamped by “NEW YORK SHIP LETTER - 4 - APR 27” and posted aboard the steamer “Alexander”.

Letter sent from St. Thomas to Ponce, Puerto Rico 4 April 1849 showing blue octagonal “S.TOMAS” and 2 1/2 due mark and blue “Isla De PTO.-RICO 7 ABR 1849” two-ring receiving mark on reverse, with received note endorsed on reverse and manuscript “2 1/2”. Rare letter.

Unpaid letter docketed St. Croix 10 August 1824 to Aberdeen, Scotland. By British Packet and charged 2/7, picked up by the Leeward Islands Packet and carried to Falmouth and received “LEEWARD ISLAND F” in green. Single letter rate 1813 - 37 1S/2d to Fallmouth, indland rate above 700 miles from Fallmouth to Aberdeen (798 miles) 1S/5d, total due 2/7 and boxed “1/2” d for mail coach. With an upright and beautiful “LEEWARD ISLANDS / F / SE 7 / 1824” in green ink. Of the letters with this Fallmouth mark only a very few are stamped in an upright position and as clear as this strike.

Docketed St. Juan, Pto Rico 29 December 1853 via St. Thomas to New York. One 1/ paid and crowned circle struck “PAID AT SAN JUAN PORTO RICO” in black, via “ST. THOMAS JA 15 1854” on reverse, and “STEAMPSHIP 10” cents due at New York.

Letter docketered St. Thomas 30 April 1863 to Kingston, Jamaica. Crowned 1-ring “PAID AT ST. THOMAS” in red struck on front and 4d paid to Jamaica. Double ring, small type “ST. THOMAS MY 1 1863” and 1-ring “KINGSTON-JAMAICA MY 5 63” struck on reverse.

4 Cents 1873 blue, line perforation 12 1/2. Stamped with Danish numeral “1” Copenhagen, indeed rare with numeral 1, excellent copy.

"Envelope with two letters inside, St. Thomas 5 March 1875 to Philadelphia via New York. Forwarded in St. Thomas, agents cachet "FORWARDED BY / G. W. SMITH & Co. / ST. THOMAS W.I." and sent through the British Post Office in St. Thomas "C 51" canceling a 4d plate 14. NY "DUE 10C U.S. CURRENCY MAR 18". A letter inside is dated s.s. „VILLE DE BREST"."

Entire letter sent from St. Thomas 8 January 1864 to Christiansted, bearing the 3¢ imperforate yellow gum, tied by 3-ring St. Thomas, on reverse CDS “ST: THOMAS / 8/1 1864”. Large margins on two sides, excellent condition.

14 cents bicolored, cancelled with a clear strike of the wedge type 5-ring cancel. Very fine quality.

3 cents imperforate with brown gum. The brown gum was supplied by the pharmacy in Christiansted. Mint never hinged, scarce in MNH condition

Stamped St. Thomas January 15, 1851, sent to Woonsocket Falls, U.S.A. Struck on reverse the small double ring type “ST. THOMAS JAN 15 1851” and forwarder cachet “FORWARDED BY / G.W. SMITH & CO. / ST. THOMAS W.I.”. Prepaid “1/” and stamped crowned double ring “PAID AT ST. THOMAS” and on arrival in US struck “STEAMSHIP 10” cents due, likely New York mark.

Complete set of King Christian X bicolored issue in pairs on small cuts, all tied by datestamp “ST. THOMAS 13.3.1917”. Complete sets larger than single stamps in used condition are extremely rare.

Unpaid letter docketed St. Thomas 13 May 1863 to Marseille via London. Sender’s cachet “SEGOND & LAFERRIÈRE / ST. THOMAS” struck on front, routing order – Par ”Atrato” RMSPC “Atrato” to London. On reverse British double ring small type “ST. THOMAS MY14 1864”, 1-ring “J M / LONDON / MY-28 / 64”, “PARIS / 29MAI 64 / 60”, “3 MARSEILLE 3 / 30 MAI 64 / (12)” and on front “ANGL. / 29 MAI 64 / AMB. CALAIS D” and struck accountancy mark “GB // 1F60C” and numeral type “8” decimes due by addressee.

Docketed “St. Peter, St. Croix 2 July 1827” to Madeira care of Thomas Murdoch Esq, London. Struck boxed “PACKET LETTER” in red, London 2-ring “B / 17 AU 17 / 1827” black, charged 2/2 to London by addressee for a single rate letter.

Printed circular originating St. Johns, Porto Rico 31st December 1870, posted at the British post office at St. Thomas 2 January 1871 to Kingston, Jamaica. GB 1d plate 106 tied by “C51” vertical type and datestamped “ST. THOMAS / A / JA 2 / 71 / PAID” 1-ring in red ink and with Kingston receiving mark “KINGSTON / B / JA 5 / 71 / JAMAICA” and sent onboard RMSPC “Shannon”.
