American resealing censor tape for resealing, censormarks DOT and double BAR, dot for the need for censorship to be done, and a bar to confirm the letter has been censored. Thorshavn receiving mark on reverse.

Local letter sent within Hadersleben 28. February 1866 and franked with 1/2 Sch. HERZOGTH-SCHLESWIG green tied by Prussian 2-ring. Local letters are scarce and this letter in an outstanding quality.

Local letter sent from “Commission Internationale Slesvig” in Flensburg 14 March 1920 and franked with 5, 15 and 40 pf overprinted CIS. Large part of the CIS overprint is missing on the 40 PF, very scarce item.

Registered letter sent to the British Consulate at Thorshavn with “Radio-Hilsen” 14. December 1940 from Andefjord. This year only, BBC had agreed to broadcast Christmas Greetings to relatives in Denmark. The fee was 5 Kr. - and should be sent to the British Consulate and this letter contained a note of 5 Kr. Letter rate 20 øre plus 30 øre registration fee.

10 øre small corner figures in pair on 4 øre envelope from Slagelse to Copenhagen December 2, 1895. Small corner figures with cornerfold, but still a fine cover and extremely scarce.

Letter sent from Panama to Stege in March 1864, stamped in NY with “N.YORK-HAMB. PKT 3 / OCT 5” convention mark “6 1/2” Sgr. mark in green, red crayon “37” sk. due by the addressee in Denmark, of which the 28 sk. is foreign share and 9 sk. to the Danish post. The 37 sk. rate was for mail from USA via Hamburg and Bremen.

Postcard sent from Wittenberge (Potsdam) 31 October 1923 to Godthaab bearing fur 5 MILLIONEN inflation stamps tied by Wittenberge CDS. Rare destination for an infla cover.

Front from printed matter wrapper band from Reykjavik to Nürnberg in Germany October 16, 1903. Franked with 3 copies of the 10 aur I GILDI issue to pay the weight of 6x 50 gramms, total 300 gramms. Possible only recorded item of the I GILDI issue on wrapper front. A few small faults on the right stamp. Extremely scarce.

April 1851 letter from Copenhagen to Skielskør 22. April 1851. As unfranked with the 4 RBS, the rate applied were 6 sk. to be paid by the receiver.

"5 Kr. Central Post Office 1912 with watermark crown, Ist. printing. Large plate flaw with "missing cornish" pos. 8. By far the largest plate flaw of the newly discovered errors on the popular 5 kr. Central Post Office stamp. Cancelled in the Faroe Islands with Thorshavn swiss type cds."

Field Post letter sent from Kolding to Apenrade 5 August 1864 and postmarked “K.PR.FELDPOST-RELAIS No. 9”. The Prussian troops occupied Jutland in the 1864-war and opened a Field Post office in Kolding where the postmark was used during the occupation. Letters with these postmarks are rarely seen.

Partly paid letter franked with 4 sk. 1864-issue sent from Horsens in the occupied Jutland to Altona in Holsten 23 September 1864 via Copenhagen to Altona. From 1864 to 1 August 1865 there were not a postal agreement between the Kingdom of Denmark and the Duchies, thus letter letter charged 2 Sch. Courant in Holsten by the addressee.
